Preschooler · ages 3–7
Mon–Fri 4–5 PM · red & orange ballsFirst racket, first rally. Balance, coordination and the basic strokes, taught through games on a court sized for small players.
Social Tennis · ages 7–13
Mon–Fri 5–6 PM · orange & green ballsOur biggest group: beginners and recreational players learning to rally, serve and keep score with friends.
Advanced Competition · ages 7–13
Mon–Fri 6–7 PM · Conditioning includedFor children who already rally and want to compete: match play, footwork and shot selection. The coach places each child.
Conditioning · ages 7–13
Tue & Thu 5–6 PM · Frost ParkSpeed, agility and strength for young players. Included with every “+ Conditioning” plan, and those visits do not use up the plan's tennis days.
Players aged 14 and over join our adult classes. A two-year-old usually starts with a private lesson.

Brothers and sisters save 10% on the second child and 15% on the third. A single drop-in class is $35. The registration fee is $50 per participant for 2026 (it becomes $70 on 1 January 2027), once a year. Step Up For Students is accepted for our children's programs.

Frequently asked questions
What age can my child start tennis?+
Our weekly groups start at age 3 (Preschooler, ages 3–7, 4 PM). We coach from age 2; for a two-year-old a private lesson is the usual first step.
Is the first class really free?+
Yes, for children. It's a full class in the group your child would join, so you see the coach and the fit before paying anything.
Which group is right for my child?+
Ages 3–7 play at 4 PM, ages 7–13 at 5 PM. The 6 PM Advanced Competition group is for children ready for match play — the coach will tell you when your child is ready. Conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday is part of this group.
Can my child come on different days each week?+
Yes. A plan is a number of classes a week, not fixed days: come on any weekday, at the park running that day.
What should my child bring?+
Comfortable athletic clothes, sneakers and water. We provide rackets and balls sized to each age group for the first class.
Do you offer kids tennis near Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood?+
Yes. Patrick J. Meli Park and Frost Park are each about 10–15 minutes by car from downtown Fort Lauderdale and from Hollywood — see Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.
